COCA-COLA VIDEO GAMES LAB YSU training and development platform presentation

COCA-COLA VIDEO GAMES LAB YSU training and development platform was presented at the office of “Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia” on April 21.

The platform will give an opportunity to young people to acquire basic technical knowledge for video game development, video business development skills such as finance, marketing, digital product development PR, etc. 

Members of “Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia” management team, game developers and YSU professors will share their professional knowledge and experience with young people through courses and mentoring projects.

Arthur Sahakyan, General Director of Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia, said in his speech that the company has been working with Armenian youth for several years within the framework of the Youth Development Program.

“We attach importance to the existence and development of preconditions for quality education in Armenia, and this all is based on the cooperation between business and state structures. Following that mission, our company has launched its cooperation with the “Yerevan State University” Foundation.” As part of this partnership, we are trying to make our contribution to the fast-growing video game industry around the world,” he said, adding that students who will be creating video games have already been selected.

According to Elina Margaryan, PR and Communication Manager at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia, young people acquire self-development and self-esteem skills through the Youth Development Program.

“Participants also learn business skills (time and project management, communication, sales skills), business planning, and financial literacy. COCA-COLA VIDEO GAMES LAB YSU will also teach a number of business development skills,” said Elina Margaryan.

According to Esayi Melik-Yolchyan, Director of Commercial Excellence and Marketing of the company, the newly created platform will be located in YSU and will be furnished by "Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia" with all the necessary equipment.

"The partnership also aims to educate and provide additional knowledge to young people by developing business and life skills. The employees of Coca-Cola HBCA will conduct trainings and will become the mentors of the participants, thus helping the participants to pass the courses successfully. ”

According to Narek Aghekyan, the founder of Noor Games, the creation of COCA-COLA VIDEO GAMES LAB YSU can form a very important culture for the game development sector in Armenia.
